1st week in La Trobe Hospital (Traralgon)

Anyway, at this moment, i should be arrived at Browns Road and watching GossipGirl, but since my friend got cold flu we plan to get back to Melbourne tomorrow. Inilah nasib seorang perantau nomad...

Yup, i just managed get through my first week of peadiatric rotation/children health rotation.
Start with ward round early in the evening then go to the clinic with the consultant till 6pm (ni paling awal la balik). Then, balik poya2 baca buku A thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. Continuation of my reading of The Kite Runner.

SUPERB story line/plot

Tetapi buku ini, masih cantik di atas meja, baru separuh je baca. Mudah je ditinggalkan..Bila la nak habiskan baca...adei2

Anyway, my registrar (she has a lovely PRADA handbag & BIG diamond ring) will give me a patient to be interviewed and examined in the morning then present to her before I present the case to the consultant during the consultant ward round...phewww...menggigil pun ada..2nd day dh kena suruh present...nasib baik consultant ku comel and supportive...ha ha ha

Neonatal examination just a bit different form adult, im afraid to examine the baby...they seems fragile to me, especially when i want to palpate/feel their abdomen. Tetapi, yg nak gelak guling2..bila parents dgn yakin tanya pasal next managemnet to me...adei2...i have zero knowledge of peadiatric...maybe diorg tengok saya bersungguh2 examine the baby using the stetoscope..


During the clinic, there are alot of the kids who have ADHD especially the inattentive type. Alhamdulillah, im glad that their parents are very concern and supportive. They realised that their kid has poor academic perfomance, ussualy due to poor concentration in class. Many teachers didnt realise this because they tought ADHD just for kids who are very up to the rocket hyperactive, ADHD also has inattentive type!!! And mybe they are less concern with this subtype because they didnt give much trouble to them.
Im almost crying when the consultant try to convince this young 7 years old kid to take the Ritalin, maybe he/she feel embarassed that he/she has to take medication which is part of Medicine of the mind. yadda yadda..aribba aribba...anggerik anggerik..we manage to convince him. Syukur sangat2...ADHD is a medical condition, same like asthma...kids with asthma take their puffer, and they take the Ritalin...Nothing different.

(I dont know whats the atmospehere back in Msia, most people will correlate psychiatric = org GILA..whatsoever..)

There are a lot of stuff to write down since the holiday but since i have some internet challenge, so maybe all the entry wont be post up..adding that my resident is just around the corner.

A few days before the school start, i went to Melbourne CBD, accompany Moony and her friends enjoying their holiday. I try to release my tense my rewarding myself an experience GET BACK TO SCHOOL SPREE , the only different was i have to use my own money..adeiiiiiii. I just manage to grab...

Since i have to take my supplementary exam, i REALLY didn't enjoy my holiday. Maybe it was the first time in my life, i feel i'm such a LOOSER/FAILER...Donno..the feeling is still there although i admit that i got a lot of support from my parents, family tutors, and friends.


Im thinking of to do some impulsive shopping this week. Addition to that, Im already bored with Mafia Wars, already finished all jobs in New York and Cuba. Right now, im just like a pension/retired Mafia, waiting for the money to be deposited into the bank. So, im back to my feminine side...


Addition to that, teringat my trip in TASMANIA, I went to one HANDMADE Leather Shop, Seriously, masuk je kedai dh mmg bau leather, cantik sesangat..they want to give me dicsount..but since, im still on the trip, im afraid i need that money if anything happen
